鈥淐ollege for All Kids鈥� camps are educationally based and give students a chance to experience life on a college campus. They are designed to stimulate curiosity and motivate kids to achieve their highest potential. Half- and full-day camps are available, along with before- and after-care programs.
麻豆传媒 employee Laura Powell had all three of her kids enrolled in various camps last summer. 鈥淭hey especially loved the theater camps, and they thought it was cool to eat lunch in the 麻豆传媒 cafeteria,鈥� she said. 鈥淭hey got to do a little bit of everything, and there was something new and different for them to experience every day.鈥�
Young children ages 4-6 will act out their favorite Disney characters in 鈥淚t's a Disney Extravaganza,鈥� or learn to dance like a Disney princess in 鈥淒isney Dance Princess.鈥� Other camps include 鈥淎nimal Adventures,鈥� 鈥淯nder the Sea Art Adventures鈥� and 鈥淜inder Science.鈥�
Kids ages 7-12 will engage in building a robot in 鈥淟ego Robotics鈥� or learn all about 鈥淗arry Potter鈥� the Hogwarts way by making magical wands, secret potions and the proper care for magical creatures. Students may also join the 鈥淐SI 麻豆传媒鈥� team to sniff out forgeries and fakes or create their own superheroes in the new 鈥淪uperhero Camp.鈥� Other camp themes are American Girl, 3D computer animation, dance, art, printmaking, theater, design, physics, biology and digital photography.
New this summer are the 鈥淪hoot and Score鈥� basketball camps for boys and girls, ages 10-14. The 麻豆传媒 men's and women's soccer coaches will again teach 鈥溌槎勾� Soccer Kids鈥� for kids ages 5-14, which will be held on 麻豆传媒's collegiate size soccer field. There are also two volleyball camps for middle school students, including 鈥淏ump, Set, Spike!鈥� and 鈥淏ump, Set, Spike! Level Two鈥� for those with one to two years of experience.
Middle and high school students (up to age 16) can experience the fun of musical theater in 鈥淏roadway Musical Theater Revue,鈥� or come up with their own murder mystery in 鈥淢urder Mystery Camp.鈥� Students will also learn what goes on behind the scenes in 鈥淟ights, Camera, Action: Movie Production Camp,鈥� and make their own mini-movie. Other camps include 鈥淐omedy Theater Camp鈥� and 鈥淚rish Riverdance.鈥� Many of the theater camps will host performances for friends and family on the last day of camp.
