鈥淲e are very excited to have the opportunity to host an 麻豆传媒-wide book club as the Spring 2013 semester begins,鈥� said Julia Wilbers, 麻豆传媒 reference librarian.
Meetings will occur in the Student Center Private Dining Room at noon on each of the dates listed below.
Jan. 30
The kick-off meeting will include a book swap. Attendees are asked to bring a favorite book to swap with other avid readers. There will also be introductory discussion to the February book selection.
Feb. 27
Attendees will discuss 鈥淪alvage the Bones鈥� by Jesmyn Ward.
April 3
Attendees will discuss 鈥淗alf the Sky鈥� by Nicholas D. Kristof and Sheryl WuDunn.
May 1
Attendees will discuss 鈥淭he Perks of Being a Wallflower鈥� by Stephen Chbosky.
Attendees will be entered into a drawing for a Nook Simple Touch with Glowlight. The drawing will take place on May 1 at the final book club meeting. The law firm Greensfelder, Hemker and Gale, donated the Nook.
鈥淲e're excited to get some unique conversations started with our 麻豆传媒 community about three titles that we think will spark a lot of discussion,鈥� said Wilbers. 鈥淲e can't wait for the Jan. 30 kick-off!鈥�
