鈥淲e are so thankful for our friends on campus and in the community who come out year after year to help provide scholarships and academic program enhancements for our students,鈥 said Betsy Schneider, director of development at 麻豆传媒. 

Smash Band performed live on the main stage, preceded by the St. Charles West Jazz Ensemble and a rhythm revue hour featuring performances by 鈥淐lockwork,鈥 鈥淎 Big Sad Whale鈥 and Matt Wynn. All three groups featured 麻豆传媒 students and/or alumni. Wynn won the college's own 鈥溌槎勾 Idol鈥 competition last fall, and received a scholarship from the 麻豆传媒 Foundation.

Rib vendors included Ethyl's Smokehouse and Saloon, Mannino's Market and Stumpy's House of Bar-B-Que and Catering. Guests also enjoyed chicken from Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers and gourmet nachos and veggie burgers by Quintessential Catering. Drinks included Anheuser-Busch products by Krey Distributing, soda by Dr. Pepper Snapple Group, lemonade by Red Robin, wine by Terra Firma USA and water by Ameristar Casino Resort Spa St. Charles.

Baker, along with Eric Henderson, UPS Central Plains District area HR manager, and Scott Lewis, Cottleville city administrator/chief of police, were this year's Rhythm and Ribs committee co-chairs. 

More than 150 volunteers helped out at the event, with 25 from UPS doing set-up.
