鈥淗aving an 麻豆传媒-wide book club promotes reading, unique conversations and camaraderie on campus,鈥� said Mandi Smith, 麻豆传媒 student activities coordinator. 鈥淚t's been such a positive experience so far. We really have created a little book loving community, and I'm excited to watch it grow.鈥�
Meetings will take place at 2:30 p.m. in the Learning Resource Center Information Commons at the dates listed below unless otherwise noted. There will be refreshments and giveaways at each meeting.
Wednesday, Jan. 29
This kick-off meeting will consist of an introductory discussion about the February
book selection, 鈥淔ight Club."
Tuesday, Feb. 25
To introduce February's book discussion, a 鈥淔ight Club鈥� panel discussion and film
will be shown at 6:30 p.m. in the SSB Auditorium.
Wednesday, Feb. 26
Attendees will discuss 鈥淔ight Club鈥� by Chuck Palahniuk.
Wednesday, March 26
Attendees will discuss 鈥淒ivergent鈥� by Veronica Roth.
Wednesday, April 30
Attendees will discuss 鈥淏lankets鈥� by Craig Thompson.
